ESPN FC discuss Manchester United's struggles in David Moyes' first season

Anderson has denied saying that several Manchester United players want to leave the club, insisting he was "shocked" to see such comments attributed to him.

The midfielder, who arrived at United in 2007 from Porto, joined Fiorentina on loan in January for the second half of the season.

The 25-year-old was reported to have claimed that there were a number of other United players eyeing an Old Trafford exit, allegedly saying: "I am sure that lots of players want out. Especially people like myself and Nani, who have been in Manchester for seven or eight years."

However, Anderson has since posted a message on his official Instragram account distancing himself from the comments:

Anderson made his first Fiorentina start in Saturday's 1-0 Serie A defeat to Cagliari as he began a league game for the first time since United lost to West Bromwich Albion in September.

The Brazilian has made 179 appearances for United, helping them to win four Premier League titles and the 2008 Champions League.
