Carroll fumes at failed red card appeal
Andy Carroll has blasted the FA's decision not to rescind the red card he received against Swansea as "disgraceful", with the striker now set to serve a three-match ban.
Carroll was given his marching orders by Howard Webb in the second-half of West Ham's 2-0 win over Swansea at Upton Park at the weekend, after appearing to catch Chico Flores with his arm following an aerial challenge.
Sam Allardyce was left fuming at Webb's decision, and accused Flores of trying to get Carroll sent off.
However West Ham's appeal has failed, and Carroll will now miss his side's clashes with Aston Villa, Norwich and Southampton. Carroll took to Twitter to vent his anger over the FA's decision:
DISGRACEFUL!!!
