Adel Taarabt is relishing the opportunity to play alongside Mario Balotelli at AC Milan, and has described himself as the 'Balotelli of Morocco' after joining the side on loan.

Taarabt spent the opening half of the campaign on loan at Fulham from Queens Park Rangers, but has now jetted off to Serie A and Italian giants Milan, where he will team-up with former Manchester City striker Balotelli.

"I thought 'they've got the Italian Balotelli and now they're going to have the Balotelli of Morocco'," Taarabt said. "I can't wait to get to know Balotelli better and to become his friend."

Like Balotelli, Taarabt has had several fallouts with managers. He left the ground early when he was substituted at half-time for QPR in October 2011, and reversed his decision to retire from international football after a disagreement with Eric Gerets.

However, Taarabt believes he will not become a problem for Milan boss Clarence Seedorf.

"I haven't got a difficult character. Perhaps some find it hard to accept direct and sincere people," he said. "I'm really the complete opposite. I like to joke and this can be misinterpreted."
