Pellegrini 'not concerned' by Toure incident

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has said he is "not concerned" about a potential retrospective ban for Yaya Toure after an incident at Carrow Road on Saturday.

Toure was seen kicking out at Norwich striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel in the second half of City's goalless draw, which allowed Chelsea to go top of the Premier League table with their 3-0 win over Newcastle.

Referee Jon Moss took no action despite an angry reaction from Van Wolfswinkel, and Pellegrini has insisted he is not worried that Toure could face a three-match suspension if the Football Association finds him guilty of violent conduct.

Pellegrini said in the Daily Mail: "I didn't see it and I'm not concerned about that."

Norwich boss Chris Hughton added: "If that's the case, then enough people will have seen it, even though I've not seen it at this stage. Ricky's not one for complaining, he generally just gets on with it."

Third-placed City, who have now gone two league games without scoring a goal, are next in action at home to Sunderland on Wednesday.
