West Ham midfielder Ravel Morrison has left the Premier League club to join Championship side QPR on a 93-day emergency loan.

Morrison will be available to make his debut in QPR's London derby at Charlton on Saturday.

West Ham announced on their website that a clause in the agreement allows them to recall Morrison after 28 days of his spell at Loftus Road, though the full deal will allow him to play in the Championship play-offs should QPR reach them.

Morrison is now focusing on proving his credentials by aiding QPR's promotion push to get back into the top flight.

"I just want to help QPR get to the Premier League - that's my only objective during my time here," Morrison told QPR's official website. "If we manage to do that, it would be great for everybody connected with the club.

"All I want to do is play football. I just want to show everyone what I can do week in, week out. The aim here is to get the club promoted and I want to contribute in helping QPR to get there."

Meanwhile, QPR boss Harry Redknapp expressed his delight at capturing the winger and told the club's website: "Ravel is fit and ready to play and I'm hoping he can come in and make an impact.

"He's got fantastic ability, there's no doubting that. He's got great pace, can dribble and score a goal. If we can get the best out of him, he could make a big difference."

Redknapp's side sit fourth in the table after a run of three games without a win, and trail Burnley in the second automatic promotion spot by four points - though QPR have a game in hand over the Clarets.

Despite promising performances earlier this season, Morrison had not played for Sam Allardyce's side since the 3-0 home loss to Manchester City in the League Cup semi-finals on January 21 following a recent groin injury.

The club denied initial reports that Morrison had gone on strike after Fulham's interest in the midfielder in January failed to result in a mid-season switch to Craven Cottage.
