Newcastle United defender Mathieu Debuchy has told French media his future is uncertain beyond the end of this season.

Debuchy has been strongly linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain whom his close friend and former Newcastle team-mate Yohan Cabaye joined in January.

Though he signed a five-and-a-half year deal with the club when he joined them from Lille just over a year ago, Debuchy, who is also reportedly being tracked by Bayern Munich, would not commit to being at St James's Park beyond next summer.

"I am here [at Newcastle] until the end of the season and for next year, I do not know," Debuchy told RMC, adding the team had been hit by Cabaye's departure.

"This is a great loss for us so obviously I was sad but I can be happy for him because PSG is a great club. I have had the opportunity to talk a little with Yohan Cabaye and it is clear he is really happy there."
