Queens Park Rangers are considering sacking Harry Redknapp and replacing him with Michael Laudrup after a run of form which has seen the club's Premier League hopes fade, according to The Times.

QPR's considerable financial budget made them favourites to go up from the Championship at the start of the season but after picking up just one point from their last four matches they are seven points adrift of the second automatic promotion place.

The club have big plans, including a new stadium, and have been big spenders but supporters are losing faith in the manager, turning on Redknapp after the 1-0 defeat to Charlton on Saturday.

His team have struggled to score in front of goal, scoring 37 times this season and fans have grown tired of inconsistent team selections.

Laudrup, dismissed by Swansea City on February 4, is reported by The Times to have been mentioned within the club as a potential replacement for Redknapp.

The newspaper claims a poor result against Leeds on Saturday could seal Redknapp's fate but the club declined to comment.
