Jose Mourinho has reportedly admitted being interested in signing Radamel Falcao, after conceding Chelsea are "missing a striker"

Fernando Torres has revealed that Jose Mourinho gives no explanation to his Chelsea players when he drops them from his starting XI.

Torres has been vying for a place up front in Mourinho's side with Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba this season.

Asked whether Mourinho gives his reasons when demoting a player to the bench, Torres told Spanish daily Marca: "None at all. You just get used to it and try to respect his decisions.

"Mourinho has shown that everybody will get a chance and we've all been through the same thing. He likes to rotate the squad and shake up the team depending on the opposition."

Torres and Eto'o have alternated as Mourinho's starting striker this season, with Torres starting 11 times to Eto'o's 13 in the league and both players scoring eight goals in all competitions.

However Torres insisted he has no problems with his rival. He said: "It's great, he's [Eto'o] a genius. He's doing what he's always done, scoring goals."

Torres also revealed that he and his Chelsea teammates are given no indication whether they will be included in the team.

"Under Mourinho you don't know if you're going to play or not, so you have to be fully fit and ready," he explained.
