Pepe Mel could be facing the sack as West Brom manager after only six matches in charge, according to the Daily Mail.

Mel, who was appointed as boss in January after Steve Clarke was dismissed in December, has not won any of his games in charge so far at The Hawthorns, and the side are currently one point above the relegation zone.

The Daily Mail reports that West Brom owner Jeremy Peace is not pleased about the situation at the club, and may decide to follow in the footsteps of Fulham, who sacked Rene Meulensteen earlier in February after he took over from Martin Jol in December.

West Brom have only collected one victory in their past 15 matches, and the players are allegedly unhappy with Mel's attacking tactics.

West Brom also returned early from a break to Jerez, with Mel holding talks with the players and the coaching staff in an attempt to resolve the current situation.
