Sturridge starts as he looks for single-season record
Daniel Sturridge will be aiming to be the first player to score in nine consecutive Premier League games in the same season as he starts for Liverpool against Southampton.
His double in the 4-3 win over Swansea helped him become only the second man to score in eight consecutive Premier League matches, alongside Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Luis Suarez makes his 100th league appearance for Liverpool while Jordan Henderson continues his resurgence under Brendan Rodgers.
Luke Shaw, fresh from his first senior call-up to the England squad, starts alongside fellow England internationals Adam Lallana, Jay Rodriguez and Rickie Lambert.
