Puncheon fined £15,000 for Twitter comments
Jason Puncheon has been fined £15,000 after he admitted a charge for comments made on Twitter in relation to Neil Warnock, the FA has confirmed.
Puncheon used the social networking site to respond to Warnock's criticisms of his penalty miss in Palace's 2-0 defeat at Tottenham in January. His tweets were later deleted, but the FA decided to charge him on February 24.
A statement released on the FA's official website said: "Jason Puncheon has been fined £15,000 and warned as to his future conduct after he admitted an FA charge for Twitter comments he made in relation to Neil Warnock.
"The charge was that in posting the comments, Puncheon failed to act in the best interests of the game and/or acted in a manner which was improper and/or used abusive and/or insulting words, in contravention of FA Rule E3(1)."
