LA Galaxy back in for Lampard
Frank Lampard could yet follow in David Beckham's footsteps with LA Galaxy set to revive their interest in the Chelsea midfielder.
A report in The Sun claims Lampard could accept a £4 million-a-year offer from Galaxy when his contract expires this summer.
This would be just 12 months after Lampard decided against an initial move to LA following Jose Mourinho's return, which was confirmed by the Blues' boss in December, who said the 35-year-old was "not feeling important to the team".
That could change with rumours persisting that Lampard - alongside fellow Chelsea stalwart John Terry - will be offered a player-coach deal at Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
However, a possible counter-offer from LA Galaxy hinges on the future of Landon Donovan.
Each MLS team is allowed a maximum of three 'designated players' who can earn above the league's salary cap - and Galaxy currently have former Spurs striker Robbie Keane, Donovan and Omar Gonzalez as their three.
But Donovan could be sold to open up a slot for Lampard should the Chelsea star decide to end his stay at Stamford Bridge.
