David Moyes has put his trust in the Manchester United old guard as Ryan Giggs has been picked to start against Olympiakos in the Champions League last-16 second leg at Old Trafford.

Rio Ferdinand also takes place in the back four while Patrice Evra, who has recently been silent over his United future, also starts at left-back. There is no place in the squad for departing captain Nemanja Vidic.

Juan Mata is cup tied having already represented Chelsea in this competition, so Giggs comes into the midfield. Danny Welbeck, Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie complete United's attack, while Marouane Fellaini and Adnan Januzaj settle for places on the bench.

Manchester United: De Gea; Rafael, Jones, Ferdinand, Evra; Valencia, Carrick, Giggs, Welbeck; Rooney, van Persie. Substitutes: Lindegaard, Fellaini, Fletcher, Januzaj, Kagawa, Young, Hernandez.

Olympiakos: Roberto, Maniatis, Holebas, Manolas, Marcano, Salino, N'Dinga, Perez, Fuster, Campbell, D'guez. Substitues: To follow
