Manuel Pellegrini has revealed he could be without Sergio Aguero for Manchester City's crucial trip to Arsenal next weekend.

Aguero came off at half-time in City's 2-1 Champions League last-16 second leg defeat to Barcelona at the Nou Camp after aggravating a hamstring problem.

He was already likely to miss Tuesday's derby against Manchester United, with Pellegrini now confirming as much, but is set to resume training next week.

Asked specifically about Aguero's availability for the Arsenal game, Pellegrini replied: "I am not sure."

"No chance for United," Pellegrini added. "Maybe next week he will start working with the squad but I think maybe he will start training with the whole squad at the end of the week."

Fourth-placed City trail Arsenal by two points, but have two games in hand on them.

Aguero, who has scored 26 goals for City this season, will definitely miss Saturday's game against Fulham.
