Mourinho jokingly names defence for PSG tie

Jose Mourinho jokingly named his back five for Chelsea's quarter-final tie against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League as his side prepare for Wednesday night's encounter in Paris.

The Chelsea manager has been known to name his starting line-ups in the past a day or two prior to kick-off. However, Mourinho was in no mood to reveal his full team to the world's press on the eve of the first leg at the Parc de Princes in Paris.

"Petr Cech, [Branislav] Ivanovic, [John] Terry, [Gary] Cahill and [Cesar] Azpilicueta," Mourinho joked, before crumpling up the piece of paper he had taken from his interpreter.

The manager has made it clear that Chelsea will be on the hunt for a new striker in the summer, with the futures of Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba uncertain, and it comes as no surprise that Mourinho has not named his full team for the PSG clash.

He does insist that PSG are the favourites to reach the semi-finals, and handed out plenty of compliments to the reigning Ligue 1 champions, a contrast to his comments of last week when he suggested that it was easy for PSG to win the league title in France.

"It's a team full of fantastic strikers and goalscorers and that is what really makes the difference in this level," Mourinho said.

"You look to the teams in the top eight at this moment, all of them good teams, good structures, with a certain philosophy, but after that you go and you see (Barcelona's Lionel) Messi, (Real Madrid's Cristiano) Ronaldo, (Borussia Dortmund's Robert) Lewandowski, Diego Costa, Ibrahimovic, (Edison) Cavani, (Ezequiel) Lavezzi.

"They (PSG) have lots of them. At this level it's a very important part of a team."
