Mourinho: It doesn't matter who we draw

Jose Mourinho claims Chelsea will fear no one in the Champions League semi-finals with his former club Real Madrid potentially lying in wait.

Chelsea engineered a dramatic comeback to see off Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night. Demba Ba scored late on to secure a 2-0 win in the second leg at Stamford Bridge, levelling the tie at 3-3 on aggregate and putting Chelsea through on away goals.

"We are in the semi-finals," said Mourinho. "If the quarter-finals had eight fantastic teams, imagine the four that are going to reach the semi-finals. Anything can happen.

"A big opponent is waiting for us in the semi-final, but I think it doesn't matter who."

With Madrid surviving a scare against Borussia Dortmund to also move into the last four, Mourinho could be reunited with his former club after falling out of favour at the Bernabeu last season.

It would surely be a fiery reunion after an extract of a new book, The Special One: The Dark Side of Jose Mourinho by Diego Torres, being serialised by The Times, revealed that Mourinho was once so angry at his Madrid players that he called them "sons of bitches" and "traitors" in an astonishing post-match rant.

Mourinho could also come up against Barcelona, who head to La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid after their 1-1 draw at the Nou Camp last week.

Madrid and Barcelona endured an even more tempestuous rivalry than usual throughout Mourinho's three years in the Spanish capital, with national team coach Vicente del Bosque forced to play peacemaker between the two sides at times.

Mourinho's Inter Milan also saw off Barcelona in the semi-finals in 2010, before going on to win the competition against Bayern Munich.

Manchester United - who reportedly spurned Mourinho in favour of David Moyes as Sir Alex Ferguson's successor last summer - could also lie in wait if they can overcome the odds to see off holders Bayern tonight following the 1-1 first leg draw at Old Trafford.

But Mourinho believes nobody will be hoping to draw Chelsea in the last four, although he will be without Branislav Ivanovic after the defender picked up a booking against PSG to earn a suspension.

"They know we are a team with a special spirit, even if we are not in the maximum of our potential," added Mourinho.

"[Nemanja] Matic and [Mohamed] Salah cannot play in the Champions League [because they are cup tied]. We always have somebody suspended - Ramires here, Ivanovic in the next game.

"But, for sure, we are going to enjoy the same way I told the players we had to enjoy this second leg in the quarter-final. We have to enjoy to play against the great opponent waiting for us."
