ESPN FC: Champions League spot up for grabs

Wojciech Szczesny has no problem with Arsenal winning ugly in their final four Premier League games if it means they pip Everton to fourth spot.

Arsene Wenger's side moved back into the final Champions League qualifying place following their 3-1 win against West Ham on Tuesday, with Szczesny admitting the display was not as impressive as many that Arsenal produced in the opening few months of the campaign.

Everton can leapfrog Arsenal again if they avoid defeat to Crystal Palace tonight at home, but entertain Manchester United on the weekend with Manchester City also travelling to Goodison Park before the end of the season.

With the race for fourth set to go to the wire, Szczesny doesn't care how Arsenal get the job done, as long as they do.

"As long as we get three points, it does not have to be beautiful," said Szczesny, who returned to the side after sitting out the FA Cup semi-final win against Wigan. "I will take four or five more games like that until the end of the season

"Every game is like a cup final for us now and we know we have to get the result every time and wait for Everton to drop points.

"In the Premier League we had not won in four games [prior to the West Ham victory], so it was important to get back to winning ways. Three points is all that matters at the moment."

Szczesny also feels Arsenal's success in finishing last season with a run of victories to snare a top four finish at the expense of Tottenham will stand them in good stead.

"Hopefully, the experience of fighting and having good run-ins can help us get through again," he added. "Before the four disappointing results we had recently, we were still in the title race. So that has slipped away from us but it is important for us to fight for the new challenge, which is the top four now."
