Manchester City have all but finalised a deal to sign Barcelona star Yaya Toure for an estimated £27 million transfer fee.

Toure's agent revealed last week that the two parties were in negotiations and the Ivory Coast international is all set to line up alongside his brother, Kolo, at Eastlands next season.

The 27-year-old midfielder, who was also a reported target for Chelsea and Arsenal, is expected to sign a four-year deal worth £90,000 a week.

Barcelona director general Joan Oliver admits that Toure's exit is imminent, but insists the club will not be rushed into signing-off the deal.

"We're trying to do this properly and without haste," Oliver told the club's official website. "We're trying to make it the best operation for the club regardless of when it happens."

With the Ivory Coast almost certain to crash out of the World Cup following their final group game against North Korea on Friday, Toure will be free to conclude the transfer.
