Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany insists his team-mates still believe they can win the Premier League title following their 3-1 victory against West Brom on Monday.

Goals from Pablo Zabaleta, Sergio Aguero and Martin Demichelis at the Etihad meant City kept the pressure on league leaders Liverpool; Manuel Pellegrini's side are now six points off top spot with a game in hand.

And Kompany believes City can look to how they won the title two years ago, when Aguero's added-time strike against Queens Park Rangers ensured they were crowned champions on a dramatic last day of the season.

"It's job done and we had some good spells in the game. We'll take it with us in the final four games," Kompany told Sky Sports.

"We can still remember what happened for us two years ago. We take motivation out of it but the most important thing is that we get back to the form we had at the beginning of the season. It looked like we were better against West Brom and if we take that into the next four games anything can happen."

However, the win against Pepe Mel's side came at a cost as influential midfielder David Silva was stretchered off with injury midway through the second half.

Kompany said: "We knew David [Silva] was struggling. He's been great for us and he put in a shift. Hopefully he'll be back soon."
