UEFA has confirmed either Wembley Stadium or the Allianz Arena will host the semi-finals and final of Euro 2020.

A total of 19 countries are bidding to host games in the 16th edition of the tournament set to be played across Europe.

Only 12 countries will share matches to be played in the group stages, the last 16 and quarter-finals, with the conclusion of the tournament set to be held either in London or Munich at Wembley and the Allianz Arena respectively.

London staged a European Championship in 1996 while Munich were the hosts in 1988.

UEFA president Michel Platini said: "We are extremely happy to have received so many bids to host UEFA Euro 2020.

"The 60th year anniversary edition of the tournament will be an historic one, with matches played in many European countries.

"By spreading the EURO across our continent, we will allow more fans from more nations to share in the excitement of hosting such a magical event.

"Member associations will also benefit greatly from this format, since more of them will be exposed to an elite tournament and have the opportunity to increase the development of football in their respective countries. I wish all the candidates the best of luck in this bidding process."
