Southampton stars 'not for sale'

Southampton captain Adam Lallana has told BT Sport he will make a decision over his future in the summer.

On Friday, Saints director Les Reed had issued a statement to the media dismissing media speculation that the club's star players and manager Mauricio Pochettino may be set to leave the club at the end of this season.

However, Lallana - who has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham and is set to feature for England in this summer's World Cup - refused to offer any guarantees that he will stay when questioned over his future after Saturday's 2-0 victory over Everton.

"I am concentrating on the last two games and then I will sit down in the summer and see what happens," he said. "I just want to enjoy my football. That's when I am at my happiest.

"We have top players, a top manager and a top team. If we can add to that in the transfer market and keep progressing I am sure we can compete [for European football]."

Meanwhile, Pochettino avoided questions over Lallana's future following the match, insisting he would only talk about the match.

"There were many positives aspects from the win," he added. "In the overall analysis, we just followed our style. We played in the way we know how to play. It worked for us to play a team that is fighting to get into the Champions League as well.

"I want to thank the players, the medical staff and overall the entire club because we matched our record in the history of the Premier League with this result."
