United lacked respect for me, says Pogba
Paul Pogba has accused Manchester United of disrespecting him and claims he was forced to train by himself before he left.
The 21-year-old signed for Juventus as a free agent in July 2012 with then-manager Sir Alex Ferguson saying: "I don't think he showed us any respect at all" after the midfielder let his contract run down.
However, Pogba believes it is United who showed him a lack of respect by treating him unfairly before he joined Juventus.
"They left me out because they said I wanted to leave," Pogba told BBC's Football Focus. "That is disrespect. Maybe they didn't think they were making a mistake."
Pogba made just seven appearances for United, all as a substitute. After winning the Serie A title in his first season at Juventus and going close to capturing a second, he says he left United for more game time.
"Manchester United is a big club but you have to think about yourself," he said. "You have to play. The coach told me there would be space to play, but I wasn't playing. I was training alone for one week."
