City set to reward title stars with new deals
Manchester City are set to offer several of their key title-winning players new deals this summer, including England No.1 Joe Hart.
The club has agreed not to exceed spending £49m in net in the upcoming summer transfer window as part of their punishment for breaching Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules and instead look set to tie down some of their first-team players.
Hart has two years remaining on his current City deal and has responded well to the string of high-profile errors which saw him lose his No.1 spot last November.
He regained his place from Costel Pantilimon, who could leave the Etihad this summer in search of regular football, before helping City secure their second domestic title in three years.
Fellow Brit James Milner will reportedly be offered terms to extend his stay in Manchester, while Samir Nasri, who was recently left out of France's World Cup squad, could also commit his future to the club.
Edin Dzeko scored 28 goals this campaign and is likely to be rewarded with a new deal, while Aleksandar Kolarov could also put pen to paper this summer.
