Ramsey: This one's for the manager

Aaron Ramsey dedicated Arsenal's FA Cup win to Arsene Wenger after they came back from 2-0 down to beat Hull in extra-time at Wembley.

Arsenal suffered a disastrous start, conceding two goals in the opening eight minutes, but fought back to level the match through goals from Santi Cazorla and Laurent Koscielny.

Ramsey then struck the winner in the second half of extra-time to end Arsenal's nine-year trophy drought, and said Wenger deserved it for all the faith he has shown in his side.

"The manager and the players have been under a lot of pressure the last couple of years," Ramsey told ITV after the match. "This one's for the manager, for the fans, he's always believed in us when things weren't going as well."

Ramsey added: "It means a hell of a lot for us players. Over the last couple of seasons we've been under a bit of pressure and had a bit of stick at times for not being ruthless and not taking opportunities.

"The manager's always believed in us, the players have always believed in the manager. We've come through and we've won something for the first time in a few seasons and hopefully this will be the first of many to come.

"He's always worked hard on the training pitch and always stood by us."

Ramsey also admitted his "dream" goal was up there with the most important he had ever scored.

"I'm getting quite emotional thinking about it. This is what it's all about," said Ramsey.

"We've done that a few times in the big games this year, we've conceded early on. But we showed great strength and character to come back and to win it.

"To score the winner in extra time is something I've dreamed of for many, many years. It's definitely up there with the most important goals I've ever scored."
