Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben says that signing for Manchester United is "not an option."

Reports have suggested that new United manager Louis van Gaal could target his Dutch compatriot as he looks to get the club back on track next season.

However, Robben, 30, has stressed he is happy at the Allianz Arena, having signed a new contract with the Bundesliga champions in March.

De Telegraaf quoted the former Chelsea player as saying about a possible transfer to United: "That's not an option. I'm staying with Bayern Munich. Period.

"I cannot imagine why Bayern would want to lose me. I just renewed my contract and we are happy with each other.

"It's very different when you're not completely happy. I had a fantastic time with Van Gaal at FC Bayern and know what I have with him.

"Van Gaal and Guardiola are the best trainers I have worked with. I feel good so will stay where I am. The chance is zero that I make the switch."
