Toure stirs the pot with PSG flirt

Yaya Toure has stirred up the uncertainty surrounding his Manchester City future by flirting with a possible move to Paris Saint-Germain.

It has been claimed that all is not well with the Ivory Coast midfielder, his agent sparking a farcical furore by complaining the player was not respected enough by the club's hierarchy.

But after City stood firm by denying the possibility of a new deal or transfer, Toure has reignited debate about his future by again flirting with PSG, the wealthy French champions.

"Given the goals of Paris, how could you not be interested in a club like that?" Toure told France Football. "PSG have become one of the strongest teams in Europe. It would be a honour to one day play for a club like that. If I can be of service."

It is not the first time Toure's has expressed his admiration for PSG. href="http://www.espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1690256/manchester-cty-yaya-toure-psg-move-possible?cc=5739" target="_blank">In January, he said: "Everything's possible. Why not? In life, you never know. Everything's going well at City for the moment, but you never know. When you have big teams like that, where there are big players, of course it's attractive. To be part of an adventure like that is exceptional. To work with great players is always my objective. It allows you to learn many things. In football, you never stop learning. For me, PSG are a big club."

However, the situation appears more serious following a recent row about the way he is treated by the City hierarchy. Toure's agent, Dimitry Seluk, claimed last week that his client, who signed a new four-year deal with City last year, was unhappy after his birthday was not celebrated adequately and that it was only 50-50 he would stay at the Etihad unless he was promised a coaching role.

"Given the magnificent season Manchester City have had, everyone talks about me and everything is open," Toure has said. "My agent, Dimitry, is hanging on the telephone and he knows what he has to do, I have complete confidence in him.

"Nobody knows what can happen tomorrow, my attention is on the World Cup and we will see afterwards. Yes, I have said I would like to finish my career at Barcelona. You never know because football moves quickly, you never know.''
