Arsene Wenger has been charged with delivering more silverware by Arsenal's majority shareholder Stan Kroenke after signing a new three-year contract.

Arsenal ended their nine-year trophy drought after winning a dramatic FA Cup final against Hull earlier this month, coming back from 2-0 down to triumph 3-2.

Wenger will take his tenure at the club into a third decade, having already spent 18 seasons in north London.

Now Kroenke is expecting Wenger to deliver more trophy success.

"We are delighted with the FA Cup success which has added to his already outstanding record," Kroenke told the club's website. "Under his guidance we look forward to adding more trophies in future seasons.

"Sustained excellence is the hardest thing to achieve in sport and the fact Arsenal has competed at the top of the game in England and Europe throughout the time Arsene has been manager, is the ultimate testimony to his consistency of performance, talent and ambition."

Arsenal led the Premier League table for the first half of the 2013-14 campaign before suffering from a drop in form and ultimately finishing fourth - qualifying for the Champions League for a 17th straight year in the process.

Wenger has been tipped to spend big this summer as he looks to use the momentum of the FA Cup success and sustain a challenge for the league title.
