The ESPN FC team discuss Bacary Sagna's future

Bacary Sagna will join Manchester City this summer, his agent has revealed.

Sagna, 31, currently on international duty with France preparing for the World Cup, confirmed last week that he will leave Arsenal after seven years at the Emirates. The defender is available on a free transfer because he will be out of contract.

Inter Milan admitted they were interested in Sagna while Galatasaray were also linked with him. His agent Laurent Gutsmuth said the full-back was contacted by Napoli but has already set his heart no a move to the Premier League champions.

"It's true that we were contacted, but for information only. We never spoke about figures," the agent told AreaNapoli.it. "He should be signing for Manchester City."

Sagna, who made 284 appearances for Arsenal, is expected to sign a three-year deal at the Etihad.

City are also likely to sign Porto midfielder Fernando, though no deal is likely to be concluded this week.

Sagna's arrival would pave the way for City's longest-serving player Micah Richards to leave the club after making just two league appearances last season.
