Karim Benzema believes Luis Suarez would "help" Real Madrid and insists he would not "feel any particular pressure" if the Liverpool striker signed for the club.

There is mounting speculation in both Spain and England that Madrid are pursuing Suarez, despite the 27-year-old saying he plans to stay at Liverpool.

And Benzema says that Suarez, who scored 31 goals in 33 Premier League appearances last season, would be a good addition.

"He's a great player who had a great season, but in football, you have to be capable of producing several of them. But he's a great player, and if he comes, he'll help us," Benzema told Marca.

Benzema's future at Madrid has been called into question in recent weeks. Arsenal have been linked with a move for the France international, but the striker revealed he has no intention of leaving Madrid and is looking to sign a new deal.

"I hope to reach an agreement with Real Madrid," said Benzema, whose contract expires next year.

"There's no other club like it. Every year, I feel better. I only think about Madrid. I'm happy there with my family. My parents are always there, they often come to see me."
