Shaw undergoing United medical

Luke Shaw is close to completing his transfer from Southampton to Manchester United and has been given permission to complete a medical with the Old Trafford club, sources have told ESPN.
Shaw, 18, has been heavily linked with a move to United for the past six months, with ESPN reporting in January that then manager David Moyes failed in an attempt to sign the player in the last transfer window.
Herrera signs
Luke Shaw's imminent arrival at United comes hours after they confirmed the capture of Ander Herrera from Athletic Bilbao.- Herrera went on to claim that playing for Bilbao at Old Trafford in the Europa League convinced him to make the switch.
Reports of a £34 million deal for Shaw, as reported in some newspapers earlier this week, appear to be wide of the mark with the initial fee United will pay expected to be much lower than that.
However, the overall package was described as "too good to turn down", according to Southampton sources, for a player who has played just 60 Premier League games in total and collected three senior international caps for England.
Shaw's move to United completes a rapid rise for the latest graduate to emerge from Southampton's celebrated academy, following Gareth Bale, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain by moving to a big club after making his name at Southampton.
While the news will come as a blow to Southampton fans, new manager Ronald Koeman has been told he will be able to spend the cash recouped from the sale of star players as he looks to develop the squad he has inherited from Mauricio Pochettino.
