Hull City have clinched the signing of England under-21 international winger Thomas Ince.

Ince, 22, began talks at the KC Stadium last week and has now signed a two-year deal - becoming Hull manager Steve Bruce's third summer signing.

Ince, who had been in talks with Inter Milan earlier in the summer, was out of contract, but Blackpool will receive compensation because he is under 24.

He was also linked with Stoke and Hull believe they fought off competition from several other Premier League clubs for Ince, the son of former England captain Paul.

He is the second winger Bruce has recruited this summer following the £7 million arrival of Robert Snodgrass from Norwich.

The FA Cup finalists have also tied up a deal for midfielder Jake Livermore, who spent last season on loan at Hull from Tottenham.

Ince began his career at Liverpool but never made a senior appearance for them and played for his father on loan at Notts County and then for Blackpool.

He scored 33 goals in 113 games for the Seasiders but, after his father's sacking as manager, spent the final four months of last season on loan at Crystal Palace.

However, he only started five Premier League games for the Eagles.
