Arsenal seal Sanchez swoop

New Arsenal signing Alexis Sanchez believes the club has the firepower to win every trophy available on offer next season.

The Chilean joined from Barcelona on Thursday for a fee of around £30 million to become manager Arsene Wenger's first marquee signing of the summer.

And Sanchez, who starred at the World Cup as they reached the last 16, believes the FA Cup won by his new club last season is small beer to what they can claim next term. "Playing regularly wasn't the only reason why I came here," Sanchez told Arsenal Player.

"I came here to win the league title, the Champions League and every title at stake. I am also looking forward to showing the fans why I am here."

Sanchez is the second most expensive player in the club's history following on from Mesut Ozil's £42.5m arrival from Real Madrid last year - and Sanchez hopes to have a similar impact at the Emirates.

"Mesut Ozil is an important player worldwide, both at club and at international level," Sanchez said. "With Ozil in the squad Arsenal was [close] to winning the league title. I hope I can make a contribution so we can win as many titles as possible."

Sanchez also revealed the type of football adopted by Wenger convinced him to swap La Liga for the Premier League.

"Arsene Wenger's style of play is the sort of style the Chilean national team has," he said. "Therefore I am used to it. Arsenal plays very well, which fits my style. That's why I moved here."

Sanchez predominately featured as a right winger for Barcelona but has yet to discover which position he will play in for Arsenal.

"The manager has mentioned some certain positions, but I am not worried about it right now," he said. "The manager and I will talk about my role as soon as I start training."
