Manchester United flop Bebe has admitted he is eager to secure a move to Benfica.

Portuguese forward Bebe has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford since he was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson for £7.4 million in 2010, with the manager famously having never seen him play.

The 24-year-old has been shipped out on loan for the last three seasons, to Besiktas, Rio Ave and last season with Pacos de Ferreira. Despite his forgettable performances for United, Bebe managed 12 goals for Pacos last term and Benfica have seen enough to convince them he is a target worth pursuing.

"I am waiting for them to tell me when I can travel, as far as I know the clubs are talking," Bebe told Portuguese radio station Renascenca. "It would be a good opportunity to relaunch my career. I'll certainly have more chances to play and show myself.

"I hope everything will be sorted out by the weekend. I want to put my head in place and work at 100%, without any concerns."

Bebe however, did insist that he will not be loaned out for a fourth time.

"That certainly won't happen again," he said. "Benfica are a golden shop window, they have revealed several players. I hope the same happens with me."
