Capello warns players of burnout

Fabio Capello has suggested a break between the end of the Premier League season and the Euro 2012 competition would give England a better chance of success.
Just a week after the Three Lions crashed out of the World Cup at the hands of rivals Germany, Capello is already looking ahead to the team's European Championship qualifying campaign after it was confirmed on Friday that he would continue as manager.
But Capello has warned his players that they need to be rested and refreshed if they are to rediscover their World Cup qualification form. The Italian is expected to make wholesale changes for England's friendly against Hungary before the team's opening qualifier against Bulgaria at Wembley on September 3.
"If we arrive at the next tournament fresh, yes, we have a chance," he said. "If we arrive tired, no."
"We have to try and understand what happened but in my experience, it is not only the body that is tired, but also the mind. The mind burns more energy than when you run.
"Possibly you need more time on holiday between the end of the Premier League and the finals. When Denmark won the European Championships in 1992, they were on the beach when they got told to play, although the pressure on Denmark is not the same as it is on England."
