Doubts over Liverpool's failed medical claim for Remy
Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp says "it's not possible" that Loic Remy failed a medical at Liverpool.
The France striker was expected to move to Anfield but the transfer collapsed, with reports suggesting a medical issue prompted Liverpool to back out.
But Redknapp, who wants to sign a new striker, told a news conference he would welcome the France international back into the fold ahead of the new season.

"I don't see how he could have failed a medical," Redknapp said. "He had a stringent one here, one at Marseille and at Newcastle and with France before the World Cup. You couldn't meet a fitter lad.
"It can't be a medical. There must be other reasons. It's not possible - it doesn't make any sense. There must be another reason.
"There must have been a breakdown or they [Liverpool] changed their minds or moved in a different direction. Talk of the medical doesn't make sense to me."
Remy, 27, joined QPR from Marseille for £8m in January last year on the understanding it could help him secure a move to a leading English club and he would be allowed to leave for the same fee if a top-four side came in for him.
He has long been keen to join Arsenal but they have not made a firm offer, and Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes recently asked him to resolve his future sooner rather than later.
And with Liverpool interested following their sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona, he looked set to move on.
But as things stand Remy, who spent last term on loan at Newcastle, where he scored 14 goals in 27 appearances, will start the new season at QPR after all.
"Their loss is our gain - we've got a fantastic striker," Redknapp added.
"I said last year he was capable of scoring 20 goals in the Premier League. That's what we now want him to do for us.
"I'm disappointed for the boy and sorry the move didn't happen, but from a selfish point of view I've got a great player.
