Atletico Madrid eyeing Hernandez signing
Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has admitted he could move for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, saying "anything is possible".
The Mexico striker is a target for the La Liga champions, who have lost their first-choice strike duo of Diego Costa and David Villa this season.
Hernandez, also linked with Inter Milan, was wanted by six European clubs in January, according his agent Eduardo Hernandez.
Expect a struggle, warns Van Gaal
- Louis van Gaal has warned there is no quick fix for Manchester United and that, if history is anything to go by, they will "struggle" for the first three months.

Javier Hernandez, who won the Sir Matt Busby Award as United's player of the year in his debut campaign at Old Trafford, only started six league games under David Moyes last season.
And while new manager Louis van Gaal has spoken highly of Hernandez, it is likely Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie will be his first-choice strike partnership.
But Simeone, who has already signed Croatia forward Mario Mandzukic from Bayern Munich, is an admirer of Hernandez's direct approach and refused to rule out a move as he tries to rebuild the Champions League finalists' squad.
"We speak to the sporting directors, we gave them the ideas on the type of players we want and then they get the players," he said.
"With Javier Hernandez and plenty of other great players, anything is possible. We can't close the door to anyone until the transfer window closes.
"He is a vertical player, great in one on one situations, he's a great option for any team."
Hernandez has scored 59 goals in 152 games as United, despite often being used as a substitute, and he came off the bench again in their penalty shootout victory over Inter in Washington on Tuesday when Van Gaal had selected Rooney and Danny Welbeck as his two strikers.
