Van Gaal's Vidal concerns 'held up £47m move'
Louis van Gaal has not made a move for Juventus star Arturo Vidal because he is concerned about the player's fitness, according to Chile's World Cup coach Jorge Sampaoli.
The Manchester United manager is thought to be keen on bringing Vidal to Old Trafford, but Sampaoli believes the Dutchman remains wary of spending £47 million on a player who underwent knee cartilage surgery in May.

"I know that the main problem in Vidal's £47m transfer from Juventus to Manchester United is Louis van Gaal's doubt over the improvement of Arturo's knee," Sampaoli told El Mercurio.
Sampaoli went on to say he believed Vidal was only at 30-40% fitness at the World Cup and hinted that the player had pushed too hard to get back in time to play in Brazil.
Vidal is currently on pre-season tour duties with Juventus and manager Massimiliano Allegri intends to keep hold of the 27 year old.
Allegri dealt a further blow to United's chances of signing Vidal by recently claiming the player was happy to stay at Juventus.
