United still deciding on Zaha role
Manchester United are still deciding whether Wilfried Zaha has a part to play in their squad this season, according to Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish.
Palace have hinted they might want to take Zaha back to Selhurst Park on loan if United are willing to let him go.
United manager Louis van Gaal is expected to trim his squad but Parish said they have yet to determine if Zaha will stay at Old Trafford.
"Manchester United are not quite sure what they're doing with him so out of respect for them, it's not for me to talk about that," Parish told Sky Sports News.
"I'm sure that if he can, he'll try to be a permanent fixture at Manchester United this season."
Zaha joined United from Palace for £15m in 2013 but is yet to start a league game for them and was loaned to Cardiff last season.
He helped Palace win promotion to the Premier League in his final game for the club and Parish believes it would be a popular gesture to take him back.
"It's up to the manager [Tony Pulis], the players we sign. It's not up to me. I'm there to help him get the squad he wants," Parish said.
"There's a sentimental value and I loved Wilf as a kid and he did sensational things for us.
"I know the fans would like him back and that will play a part, but in the end the manager will decide what we do."
Parish added that Palace, who have signed Fraizer Campbell and Brede Hangeland this summer, are keen to bolster their squad.
He said: "We're looking at a Premier League midfielder. It's someone we're interested in and if we can get the deal right we'll try to do it."
