Fernando Torres has been left out of Chelsea's squad for their first home game of the season against Leicester.

Jose Mourinho has named an unchanged after Chelsea ran out 3-1 winners at Burnley in their opener on Monday, though this time Torres doesn't even make the bench.

Torres has been linked with a move away form Chelsea before the end of the transfer window, with Roma reportedly eyeing up a loan deal.

Having scored just 20 goals in 110 Premier League appearances since moving to Stamford Bridge from Liverpool for £50m in 2011, Torres has fallen down the Chelsea pecking order this summer following the arrival of £32m Diego Costa and the return of Didier Drogba.

Indeed, Drogba was preferred to Torres at Turf Moor as a replacement in the second half for Diego Costa, and is again among the substitutes.

Chelsea: Courtois, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta, Matic, Fabregas, Schuerrle, Oscar, Hazard, Costa

Substitutes: Cech, Zouma, Luis, Mikel, Ramires, Willian, Drogba

Leicester: Schmeichel, De Laet, Morgan, Moore, Konchesky, Mahrez, King, Hammond, Schlupp, Ulloa, Nugent

Substitutes: Hamer, Albrighton, Hopper, Taylor-Fletcher, Knockaert, Wasilewski, Wood
