Van Gaal gives Kagawa a chance to prove himself
Shinji Kagawa will get the chance to prove his worth to Manchester United as the midfielder has been picked to start Tuesday's League Cup clash at MK Dons.
Manager Louis van Gaal recently stated Kagawa was not buying into his philosophy at Old Trafford.
New signing Angel di Maria, who signed for a British record fee of £59.7 million, did not complete his deal in time to be included in the squad.
Van Gaal has opted to select several of his fringe players for the trip, with the likes of Anderson, Javier Hernandez and Nick Powell also starting.
Striker Danny Welbeck, who has been linked with a move away to Everton, leads United's attack. Marnick Vermijl gets his United debut in defence while David de Gea is preferred in goal.
