Can Manchester United play with all three at once?

Manchester United target Arturo Vidal has eased fears over his knee and says it is now "100%" after playing the full 90 minutes of Chile's friendly with Mexico on Saturday.

United spent more than £150 million, a record for any club in a single window, this summer and were prepared to spend more with manager Louis van Gaal targeting a commanding centre-back and midfielder.

Juventus' Vidal was thought to be top of Van Gaal's initial list, but concerns over the condition of his knee meant United were reluctant to pay a big fee for the player.

Vidal underwent an operation on his knee in May and there had been fears he had suffered a setback during training with the national side this week after he was seen holding an ice bag against it.

However, he took to Twitter ahead of the Mexico match to state his knee was "perfect", before playing the full match, which ended in a 0-0 draw.

The 27-year-old said afterwards that his knee had "100% recovered," adding: "I had a good pre-season and I'm happy. I'm content because I proved I can play a full match without problems."
