Evaluating Liverpool's transfer window

Liverpool's Spanish forward Suso says he feels right at home with the football philosophy at Anfield - despite uncertainty over his long-term future.

The 20-year-old was one of a number of Liverpool players made available for moves elsewhere as transfer deadline day approached at the start of September.

But while Daniel Agger, Sebastian Coates, Jack Robinson and Oussama Assaidi all moved on in the closing days of the window, Suso, Lucas Leiva and Fabio Borini all stayed put and the Spaniard is feeling the benefits of Brendan Rodgers' training methods.

"I look at him [Rodgers] and I see him as similar to a Spanish coach because all the work we do in training is with the ball," Suso told Liverpool's official website.

"Every time he asks us to do something it's with the ball. He wants us to play with the ball, never play a long ball and for me that's really good because that's my philosophy. When I go away with Spain it's more or less the same.

"It's a Spanish philosophy to play; you always want the ball, don't lose it and give it to the opposition. It's really good for me and the team."

Suso, who arrived at Liverpool from Cadiz as a 16-year-old in 2010, spent last season on loan at Almeria in La Liga. He made 26 league starts as Almeria avoided relegation by one point, but his chances at Anfield have been limited.
