Manchester United's medical staff will assess the severity of the injury sustained by Phil Jones during England's win against Switzerland on Monday night.

Jones was replaced by Phil Jagielka in the 77th minute after withdrawing with a suspected hamstring problem.

The 22-year-old has featured in every Premier League game for United so far this season, operating in Louis van Gaal's back-three system.

However, United are likely to be boosted by the return of Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera, who suffered an ankle injury in United's opening day defeat against Swansea.

United should also be able to call upon defender Marcos Rojo after he was finally granted a work permit and deadline-day signings Radamel Falcao and Daley Blind.
