Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey limped off during Wales' narrow Euro 2016 qualifying victory against Andorra and could be now be a doubt for Saturday's Premier League clash with Manchester City.

After turning smartly on the ball late in the second half, Ramsey appeared to be caught on the back of his Achilles by a defender. The 23-year-old was brought off by manager Chris Coleman in added time and Arsenal fans will have been worried by the sight of Ramsey's limping departure.

He was later seen getting his right foot strapped by the physio and also had an ice-pack applied to the injury.

Ramsey, who suffered an injury-hit campaign last year, has enjoyed a fine start to Arsenal's new season.

Manager Coleman was unhappy with the rough treatment dished out to his side during the 2-1 victory, which saw a Gareth Bale-double save their blushes after the hosts ended a four-year wait for a competitive goal from the penalty spot.

Coleman told Sky Sports: "There were half a dozen challenges that weren't very good. The referee should have clamped down but he let it go and we are a bit disappointed with that - we had a bit to contend with tonight."

Coleman was similarly unhappy with the state of the 3G pitch, adding: "They [Andorra] are a fighting nation and when we arrived my heart sunk when we trained on it [the pitch].

"It shouldn't be played on at our level, the good thing is that we got three points and everyone else has to come here. I am delighted with the lads. With the expectation on us, it was never going to be easy - you couldn't run with the ball and we had to gamble at times. It's three points whether we win 1-0 or 3-0."
