Lallana handed Liverpool debut

Adam Lallana has been handed his Liverpool debut for the visit of Aston Villa with Mario Balotelli starting up front.

Balotelli will be making his Anfield debut, having started in the 3-0 win at Tottenham before the international break.

Lazar Markovic also makes his first start for Brendan Rodgers' side with Philippe Countinho coming back into the team.

Tom Cleverley also makes his debut following his loan move from Manchester United with Paul Lambert starting him in Villa's midfield alongside Fabian Delph, who started for England against Switzerland on Monday.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Manquillo, Lovren, Sakho, Moreno, Gerrard, Henderson, Coutinho, Markovic, Lallana, Balotelli.

Substitutes: Jones, Enrique, Lucas, Toure, Sterling, Lambert, Borini

Aston Villa: Guzan, Hutton, Baker, Senderos, Cissokho, Westwood, Delph, Cleverley, Richardson, Agbonlahor, Weimann.
