Morrison poised for Cardiff switch

West Ham midfielder Ravel Morrison has announced on Twitter that he is set to join Cardiff City on a three-month loan deal.
Morrison, 21, has been a peripheral figure during his time at West Ham, appearing just 12 times in the Premier League and has spent loan spells at Birmingham and Queens Park Rangers.

He will join a manager-less Cardiff side following the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last week, with the club lying 16th in the Championship table. Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade has emerged as the main candidate for the role.
The England Under-21 international impressed on-loan at QPR last season, where he played a key role in their promotion back to the Premier League.
However, his career has been surrounded by controversy. Most recently, he was alleged to have thrown acid in the face of his ex-girlfriend Reah Mansoor, and was initially charged with two counts of common assault towards Mansoor, 19, and her mother Parveen Mansoor, 39 in the early hours of July 27. He faces a court case in 2015.
Morrison signed from Manchester United for £650,000 in January 2012 after making only three substitute appearances under Sir Alex Ferguson, despite being touted as a bright prospect at Old Trafford.
