West Ham vice-chairman Karen Brady has said her club would be unlikely to ground-share the Olympic Stadium after they arrive in 2016, making it increasingly likely that Tottenham will have to spend a season at the home of League One's MK Dons or Wembley.

Earlier this month, Tottenham announced that their proposed new stadium faced delays after a legal challenge from one of the landowners on the new site near their current White Hart Lane home.

That delay means that, in order to comply with Premier League guidelines, they will have to find a new venue for home games for the 2017-18 season, with the Olympic Stadium, Wembley and stadium:mk all mentioned as possibilities.

However, after Tottenham and West Ham were involved in an acrimonious scrap to become tenants of the Olympic Stadium in East London, it seems unlikely that the two clubs will go on to share the ground, even on a short-term basis.

"In reality they probably could - but only with our permission, and no one has asked us for permission," West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady said. "And even if they had, we would probably say no depending on who it is, if you catch my drift.

"We are the anchor tenant for the winter matches and nothing else can happen in that time without our permission. Our football matches take priority over everything else."

Tottenham's move to a new ground a short distance from their traditional home seemed on schedule when a Compulsory Purchase Order was approved over the summer.

However, a High Court challenge to the order by one landowner has left the club admitting it is "highly unlikely" that they will be able to move in time for the 2017-18 campaign.
