Lukas Podolski has dropped another hint about his possible departure from Arsenal in January, telling Express that he does not feel at home sitting on the substitutes' bench.

Podolski recently said he would consider leaving the Emirates Stadium during the next transfer window due to his lack of game time and subsequent fall down the pecking order following the summer arrivals of Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck.

Despite the club's ongoing injury crisis, the Germany international has still found it difficult to break into Arsenal's starting XI.

"I don't like it on the bench," Podolski told Express. "I am not someone who sits out his contract."

Earlier this week, Germany general manager Oliver Bierhoff advised Podolski to speak to Wenger about his Arsenal future.

"I would advise him to seek talks with the coach, and to find a solution which fits both sides," he said. "I hope that, should he make a switch, his path will lead him to a club that will give him continuity."

Podolski - who was selected by Joachim Low for his nation's upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers - is under contract with Arsenal until 2016. He faces a fight for a place in Wenger's starting line-up; Sanchez is not happy being benched while Yaya Sanogo, who "lived on the streets" three years ago, has also vowed to find his scoring touch.
