Rooney injury doubt for Manchester derby

Wayne Rooney is a doubt for Manchester United's derby clash with Manchester City on Sunday, according to a report.
Rooney, 29, has missed United's last three games through suspension after receiving a straight red card for kicking out at Stewart Downing in the 2-1 win over West Ham on September 27.
It was anticipated that the club captain would return to Louis van Gaal's side for the weekend meeting with rivals City, boosting the Dutchman's attacking options.
However, the Daily Telegraph reports that Rooney has suffered a foot injury in training and could miss the trip to the Etihad Stadium.
Against Chelsea on Sunday, Robin van Persie led the line in the absence of Rooney and the injured Falcao, with the Netherlands international scoring in injury time to clinch a 1-1 draw.
Rooney has scored three times in six Premier League appearances this season, also managing two assists.
