Mario Balotelli will not face any further action from police over claims that the Liverpool striker used "threatening behaviour" towards a woman who was taking pictures of his Ferrari.

Balotelli allegedly moved towards the woman's daughter as she was taking pictures of his red Ferrari F12 Berlinetta at around 3pm last Thursday, though after police investigated the claim, the woman has since decided against making a formal complaint.

"No criminal offences were disclosed and no crime recorded," a Greater Manchester Police statement read. "Police were called to Pewsey Road, Wythenshawe, just after 3pm on Thursday, October 23, 2014 following reports of threatening behaviour.

"Officers have since spoken to the complainant [and] no further action will be taken."

The incident occurred a day after Balotelli was replaced at half-time during Liverpool's 3-0 Champions League defeat to Real Madrid at Anfield.

The striker faced criticism from both fans and manager Brendan Rodgers after swapping shirts with Real defender Pepe and half-time, and though Rodgers has since said the "case is closed" regarding the striker's behaviour, he admits Balotelli's long-term future "remains to be seen."

Balotelli has struggled for form since his £16 million move from AC Milan this summer, scoring just once in all competitions as Liverpool struggle to hit the form they showed last season in the Premier League.
